Ilya Schenker

Ilya Shenker was born into working class Jewish family in Odessa, Ukraine in 1920. Like many other talented artists he decided to emigrate and create a new life in New York in 1974. The artist combines dreamy use of colors and an unparalleled imagination and leads us into a mysterious atmosphere of solitude and spirituality. His paintings can be found in the finest collections throughout the world. He died in 2013
